"Evolve & Stay Involved" is a mural I initiated in the summer of 2020. Inspired by the amazing strength of the Black Lives Matter movement and many other organizations, I felt compelled to show support as a community in the fight against police brutality and all racially motivated violence.

My friend and local business owner Brandon Sayen and I brainstormed ideas and messaging together. I created the design inspired by the loving relationship of Brandon and his family, local landmarks, native plants, and wildlife. I collaborated with local artist Lindsey Naylor and she provided the hand painted lettering. Brandon offered a wall of his business, LoyalTees Custom Apparel, as the location and together we donated our time, skills, and materials to produce a welcoming public piece of art for all to view.

In the making of the mural, I coordinated with local adult and youth volunteers, collaborating with local experts of native american culture to include native astrology, plant species, and syllabics within the mural. This project was very hands-on by many members of our community.
